Title and Summary

Manager, Regulatory Compliance, Control Assurance Overview
Mastercard's Global Regulatory team is responsible for liaising with regulators and law enforcement officials around the globe for the purpose of minimizing the impact of regulations on Mastercard's business and to meet its supervisory obligations with those regulations. This newly created position is part of the Global Regulatory team and will play a key role in leading the strategic development and implementation of a global regulatory compliance control assurance program.

The Manager, Regulatory Compliance Control Assurance, will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a global regulatory control assurance program to strengthen Mastercard's management of its regulatory compliance obligations.

The role will implement best practices in control assurance while providing oversight of regulatory controls, ensuring they are designed adequately and operating effectively to mitigate regulatory risks. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally within Mastercard including but not limited to Regulatory, Legal, People and Capability, Finance, Franchise, Treasury, and country teams.

Key Accountabilities of the Role:
• Support the development and implementation of control assurance program, enhancing foundational change management processes and identifying new and/or uplifting existing technologies.
• Conduct control assurance activities, including testing the design adequacy and operational effectiveness of key controls, and guiding Control Owners to document and execute corrective action plans to address identified gaps.
• Produce Key Performance Indicators and reporting summarizing assurance findings and providing feedback and recommendations to relevant control owner.
• Ensure a consistent and well documented approach to maintaining controls, assurance results and subsequent corrective action plans.
• Support the adoption of global regulatory compliance tools and frameworks, collaborating with other departments to foster a culture of compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other Mastercard teams establishing control assurance programs, utilizing existing processes to enhance efficiency.
• Identify future control assurance and testing improvements and opportunities for automation.

All About You
• Proven track record in developing and managing regulatory compliance programs, including implementation and oversight of controls.
• Comprehensive understanding of the fundamental pillars of an effective regulatory compliance control assurance program.
• Strong project management skills including experience assessing regulatory changes, breaking down requirements into project plans, designing and testing controls, and tracking/reporting progress.
• Critical problem-solving ability with a proactive, time sensitive solution orientated approach.
• Self-starter adept at managing multiple competing demands in rapidly changing business and regulatory environments.
• Ability to successfully navigate a multi-national organization and operating effectively within a diverse multicultural organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
