Title and Summary

Manager, Software Engineering (AI, Databricks, AWS) Marketing Technology Solutions (MarTS) group is building gen AI solutions for Omnichannel marketing and looking for strong technical professional to be part of this exciting journey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of software engineers, improving software processes and setting the group's strategic direction. The software group is responsible for the design, development, documentation, integration, and test of software products, systems and subsystems on time and within budget. Applicants must also have the ability to complete technical projects independently as well as mentor and/or coach other engineers.

Role

In this role, you will report directly to the Director, Software Engineering of Marketing Technology Solutions and work closely with Global Digital Marketing team to drive high-impact gen AI projects.
• Lead the execution of strategic Gen AI priorities by collaborating closely with the global digital marketing and product owners, with a focus on delivering gen AI applications for end consumers.
• Responsible for development and support of systems application software in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
• Develop and build solutions on cloud data platforms like Databricks and AWS adhering to industry standards.
• Work closely with Product Owners to develop beautiful, usable UIs and creative visualizations.
• Promote engineering best practices and instil a team culture built on curiosity and collaboration.
• Manage, mentor, and grow engineers on team, helping them advance their skill sets and careers.
• Tackle complex business problems with limited definitions and uncover root causes, develop solutions, and translate them into specific recommendations for action.
• Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery of key objectives.
• Help team maintain focus on current priorities and commitments while promoting core values of Agile software development .
• Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to drive department-wide objectives.

All About You

• Experience in managing development/engineering teams in a global environment
• People management experience.
• Direct experience working with AI and data in enterprise environments.
• Hands on experience with Cloud data platform - Databricks.
• Hands on experience working on web technologies like – React and/or Angular.
• In depth practical experience on cloud technology stack – AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud devops practices and implementation.
• Consulting or similar experience, with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
• Experience in establishing new engineering team and working towards taking the team to steady state.
• Understanding of SDLC and experience in establishing processes, standards and governance to bring efficiency within development team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to build relationships and interact effectively with individuals at all levels. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Atlanta, Georgia: $138,000 - $221,000 USD
