Principal, Client Partner, Advisors & Consulting Services Overview

Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

Our Advisors & Consulting Services (A&CS) team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

The Principal Client Partner in the (A&CS) Strategy & Transformation track is a senior leadership role accountable for driving strategic transformation for a single, high-impact client relationship. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, advisory, and execution, owning the end-to-end transformation agenda for the account.

At the Principal level, you will originate, shape, and deliver complex transformation programs that align with client priorities and A&CS strategic objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client leadership, you will influence decision-making, accelerate business outcomes, and ensure delivery excellence while achieving defined growth and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

Client Impact & Executive Partnership
-Serve as the senior transformation partner for a strategic client, engaging C-suite stakeholders to define and execute the A&CS transformation roadmap.
-Anticipate client needs and proactively deliver insights and solutions that enable measurable business impact.
-Be recognized as a strategic advisor whose perspectives shape client strategy and long-term direction.

Strategic Leadership & Growth
-Own the A&CS transformation agenda for the account, ensuring alignment with client objectives and enterprise priorities.
-Originate and convert strategic opportunities through consultative, insight-led engagement.
-Drive profitable growth by managing account economics, including revenue, margin, and pipeline health.

Delivery Excellence & Transformation Outcomes
-Lead large-scale transformation programs, ensuring disciplined governance, risk management, and value realization.
-Set intellectual direction for engagements, leveraging hypothesis-driven approaches and advanced analytics.
-Partner with delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and high-quality outcomes.

People Leadership & Talent Development
-Coach and develop consulting teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.
-Actively contribute to talent development and strengthen the A&CS Strategy & Transformation bench.

Thought Leadership & Innovation
-Shape and evolve A&CS methodologies, frameworks, and market-relevant thought leadership.
-Bring global best practices to local client challenges and contribute to the firm's intellectual capital.

Enterprise Leadership
-Model Mastercard's leadership principles and values, acting as a steward of reputation and integrity.
-Demonstrate enterprise mindset beyond immediate account responsibilities.

Qualifications
-12+ years of experience in strategy consulting, business transformation, or advisory roles.
-Proven success leading complex transformation programs and managing senior client relationships.
-Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales and delivery targets.
-MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
-Expertise in structured problem solving, executive storytelling, and impact-oriented recommendations.
