Overview
The Financial Crime Solutions (FCS) team is a cross-functional team, overseeing solutions that are dedicated to safeguarding businesses and consumers from various financial crimes. Made up of our product management, data scientists, operations, and technology partners, we have launched solutions for account-to-account real-time payments that detect and prevent fraud, with advanced technologies, data analysis techniques and industry best practices to identify suspicious patterns, behaviours, and transactions on a global scale.
We are now building a new Centre of Excellence (COE) in Asia-Pacific, designed to act as a regional hub for the Cyber & Scam Centre. The Centre will drive scalable growth and robust delivery tailored to AP priorities, responsible for developing innovative solutions, and use cases to the needs and priorities for AP. The COE aims to strengthen Mastercard's leadership in anti-scam and fraud prevention through thought leadership and industry engagement.
We are now looking for an Asia Pacific (AP) Financial Crime Product Implementation Lead to help drive delivery of existing and new products, product roadmap and strategy by consistently innovating and problem-solving.
The role involves leading the design and development of innovative product architectures to support AP business objectives and customer needs. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, ensuring scalability and performance of solutions, and driving alignment with organizational strategies. Through collaboration, strategic analysis and innovative thinking, this role will help strengthen our position in the market and provide unique learnings in an ever-evolving landscape.
The position requires staying updated on AP industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development and architectural decisions. Additionally, the role includes mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Role
• Lead Technical Engagements: Own the AP regional end-to-end technical relationship with global partners, from early-stage ideation through to scaled deployment of FCS Solutions.
• Solution Design & Architecture: Translate complex partner requirements into robust, scalable, and secure solution architecture leveraging FCS product suite and technology platform.
• Partner Collaboration: Work closely with FCS technology partners (including local partners, government agencies etc.) to co-create technical solutions to deliver FCS Solutions.
• Policy/ Regulation Enablement: Identifying and advocating harmonized regulations and standards to support Financial Crime Solutions deployment.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Global Product, Engineering, Operations teams to ensure alignment on technical strategy, delivery timelines, and go-to-market execution.
• Global Coordination: Act as the central technical point of contact for AP regional teams, ensuring consistency in solution design and partner onboarding across markets.
• Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and surface any barriers or obstacles to deliver capabilities on time and budget. Proactively communicate situation and proposed solutions to senior management
All About You
• Significant background in payments and financial services, specific experience working in fraud is preferred
• Experience working with AI/ML fraud platforms is preferred.
• Possess a blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence and able to dive deep into all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet project constraints (budget, deadlines, etc.)
• Leverage working knowledge of Mastercard business, systems, products and customer requirements in making fact-based business and product decisions
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences
• Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate product architecture excellence and share best practices
• Brings deep expertise in digital payments, API-first solution development, and fraud/money mule prevention solution — with a proven ability to build bridges between business strategy and technical delivery.
• Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Ways through their behaviour, (e.g. customer and stakeholder interactions)
• Experience working with AP financial services and government entities is a desired
