Title and Summary
Product Manager, Authentication Overview:The Mastercard Authentication Program owns how consumer authentication works for both in-store and e-commerce transactional use cases. The primary purpose of this role is to commercialize, manage and deliver best-in-class authentication products for e-commerce transactional use cases that will drive uptake and penetration for the products and revenue for Mastercard.
The authentication products that fall within this role's responsibilities are Mastercard Identity Check & Mastercard Token Authentication Framework program and Mastercard Token Authentication Service. The role also includes the management of lifecycle management products like Automatic Billing Updater.
Role
• The ideal candidate will establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and actively support the acceleration of Authentication and card lifecycle management solutions in the Southeast Asia division.
• You will identify new opportunities, assesses the company's product performance, and helps develop its long-term strategic plans for future e-commerce authentication and card lifecycle product lines.
• You will identify unique selling propositions (USP), develop product solutions working with global, regional and market stakeholders, prioritize features and functionality needed for the markets, and create a go-to-market plan for South East Asia.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Market Research / Knowledge Center: Proactively search for knowledge, data, and information by interacting with clients and other Mastercard areas (primary and secondary research) to identify market size, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Your insights will directly inform our product development and marketing strategies for products that will impact all stakeholders.
• Product Definition: Finalize the Product to launch with the Legal, Privacy, Franchise and Pricing teams will ensure that we have a viable product that meets market needs and regulatory requirements.
• Product Feature Planning: Defining the plan of attack for the delivery of our acceptance & issuing-facing products is essential. Working with the Product Management to define and prioritize the features that must be delivered first into market and the timelines of delivery.
• Sales Enablement and Market Activation: Team up with Commercialization and Regional teams to develop and validate go-to-market materials. Craft compelling product positioning and messaging that make us stand out in the market.
• Customer Engagement: Work with Sales teams and Regional teams to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, customers, and industry stakeholders. Continuous feedback is your secret weapon for refining our strategies.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Dive deep into Acquirer, PSP, Merchant and Issuer customer feedback and market data to spot trends and patterns. Prepare detailed customer reports to guide strategic decisions.
• Product and Customer Optimization: lead meetings with acquirers, PSPs, merchants and issuers to optimize product performance and implementations to enable greater benefits for customers and the ecosystem.
• Product Management Excellence (Studio): Partner with Regional team to manage the process to deliver ongoing innovation and enhancements. Take accountability for the delivery of key product enhancements and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver. Drive institutionalized knowledge with the delivery of clear product documentation - partner with industry players to identify new trends or technologies that could improve our product solutions.
All About You:
• Position requires a master's degree, or foreign equivalent with technical background Tech savvy, quick learner, with experience in driving initiatives in complex and dynamic business environments
• Domain experience in authentication in the digital environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong product ownership experience in the payment or technology industry, having already brought successfully new products or solutions to market.
• Strong ability to effectively and proactively build partnerships with industry partners to identify and develop opportunities to enhance our solutions
• Strong ability to understand the needs and objectives of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable articulating narratives and presenting to various levels of management.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and handling complex tasks
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate numbers into insights and tell a story behind them.
• Comfortable leveraging data to monitor performance and identify opportunities, create plans to drive usage and revenues, and prioritize resources to deliver against the plan.
• Open and creative mindset; comfortable with uncertainty.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and problem-solving/consultative mindset.
