Overview:

The Ethoca organization within Mastercard is seeking a detail-oriented and strong analytical Senior Analyst to join our Sales Excellence team. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales Excellence, this individual will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling sales bookings against actual revenue and will take full ownership of the commission process.

This role requires a solid understanding of Salesforce data management, revenue operations, and commission structures. This individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, HR and Finance to ensure commissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with performance and policy.

Role:

- Reconcile sales bookings with actual revenue; resolve discrepancies in close dates, booking amount and billing details.

-Ensure Salesforce opportunity records are properly maintained and updated – enforcing field hygiene and validating essential fields such as stage, amount, term and product type.

- Partner with Sales and Account Management to resolve data inconsistencies or missing entries in Salesforce and improve system discipline.

- Own the full cycle of commission calculations including data gathering, validation and reporting.

- Ensure all inputs to the commission process are complete, accurate, and up to date.

- Develop and maintain detailed bookings vs actual revenue analysis file in Excel, integrating Salesforce data with financial records.

- Build and validate commission statements and payout reports, provide transparency into how commissions were calculated and ensure clarity for recipients.

- Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure timely processing and alignment with internal controls and compensation policies.

- Respond to and resolve commission disputes or inquiries from Sales and Account Managers, documenting resolutions and identifying process improvements.

- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance, commissions earned, attainment vs quota, and plan effectiveness.

- Ensure commission processes are compliant with internal policies, SOX controls, and applicable accounting standards.

- Assist with the development and rollout of new or updated commission plans, including scenario modeling and communication support.

- Support regular audits and review of commission processes, including data validation and documentation control.

All About you:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

- Multiple years of experience in sales operations, compensations or finance, ideally in FinTech or SaaS.

- Strong experience with Salesforce and commission data flows; knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

- Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas, modeling, error-checking) and experienced in Power BI.

- Deep understanding of commission structures, sales incentive plans, and performance metrics.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with interacting with non-finance stakeholders such as Sales and HR.

- Comfortable handling sensitive compensation data with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
