Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Security Resolution Overview:

The Security Resolution Management team is a group in the Mastercard Franchise organization with a specific focus on identifying and mitigating account data compromise (ADC) events at a global level, with a heavy focus on data breach events, cyber security, and overall security affecting Mastercard Customers and external entities. This team acts as an intermediary between our issuing and acquiring customers during the management of security events.

Role:

This Senior Analyst role will manage the Triage Function and will be the starting point for generation of all new ADC cases. This role will have the responsibility for the intake of data from a variety of sources (both internal/external) to review, triage and action/assign. The actions will include:
• Determination of the type of ADC investigation based on data and information provided.
• Support of customer inquiries for ADC platform(s)
• Conducting fraud analysis, investigations, and performing internal and OSINT research to guide the investigation lifecycle.
• Regular communication with customers and educating them on program rules and changes to the program.
• Completing independent research leveraging internal tools as well as OSINT.
• On an ongoing basis, train, educate and stay current on industry trends, security issues, threats, techniques, compromise methods and impacts to payment card fraud.
• Identify trends and emerging fraud techniques in a fast paced, technical environment.
• Identify, analyze, and bring about improvement in the existing business processes for the purpose of optimization and meeting new quotas or quality standards.
• Manage complex issues, events and situations, both internally and externally.

All about You:

• Must understand and be able to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential data.
• Knowledge of payment card data process and ecosystem preferred.
• Knowledge of payment acceptance methods utilized by Mastercard Customers along with the specific risks to the data elements needed to complete fraud.
• Be able to perform independent research and have case management and investigation skills.
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to successfully multi-task and work on investigations/projects independently.
• Must possess good analytical and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and ability to deal with confidential data.
• Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) at a minimum. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
