Overview
Mastercard Identity Solutions, leads the development of products and services that enable global commerce, powers financial inclusion, prevents crime and makes some of the most seamless experiences possible. As part of Mastercard Identity Solutions, the Business Enablement team centralises operations and growth function with the primary goals of improving operating efficiency and accelerating growth for the Identity business. This team drives significant top and bottom-line growth for Identity Solutions by executing on global activities with impact across the Identity product suite.
Role:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be part of the Production Operations team. We are looking for a creative problem solver to join our team in Vancouver. The team delivers and implements scalable, data driven strategies and recommendations to solve for security challenges and mitigate threats for some of the largest technology, eCommerce, and financial institutions in the world, including members in the top 5 of the Fortune 500. You will need to be driven to find creative solutions to novel fraud cases in a variety of settings and business with in-depth analysis and pattern identification, backed by statistical analysis and robust data modelling, as well as supporting development of data pipelines to enhance existing workflows and Identity products. You will be working with business enablement, revenue operations, strategic growth teams and other stakeholders on improving operating efficiency and scalability of the Identity Solutions product suite.
All About You:
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an advanced level of experience in presenting to various audiences (both size and type of audience).
• Strong level of data analysis and data modelling skill and reporting experience in professional setting;
• Experience dealing with large data sets;
• Experience with SQL and the ability to create complex queries and joins;
• Familiarity with AWS tools, Databricks, and cloud computing;
Nice To Have:
• Experience with machine learning (supervised or unsupervised);
• Experience with high level programming languages: Python, PHP, or similar;
• Experience with data tools: R, SPSS, SAS and Tableau;
• Experience with data manipulation and designing and implementing ETL processes;
• High level concepts of Web Services, Internet Security and Online Behavioural Analysis.
