Team Overview:

Decision Management Program (DMP) is a sophisticated, industry-leading intelligence with a range of capabilities that structure and apply complex business logic across the payment journey and beyond to inform and accelerate decisions at scale at Mastercard.

The Authorization Decisioning product within DMP combines DMP's powerful capabilities with access to all authorization messages available within Mastercard. With access to the full extent of transactions as they happen, Authorization Decisioning can extract intelligence, add intelligence, and make decisions, all customizable to market-facing products. With the ability to bi-directionally consume and apply intelligence, Authorization Decisioning can transform insights into immediate operational action.

The DMP team is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Authorization Decisioning team, driving our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving.

Role:

In this position, you will:
• Primarily work as a manual functional tester and develop test automation scenarios to validate system-to-system interfaces and complete software solutions.
• Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
• Participates in requirements review and testing activities, including test plans, requirements, cases and automation coverage; monitors resolutions and retains documentation
• Follow the QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies; partners with other functions to gather the testing requirements
• Be a vital part of the scrum team and participate in requirements review/story elaborations and testing activities to deliver high-quality products
• Translate high-level business requirements into test scenarios
• Work with software developers and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving verification tests
• Identify automation needs and develop test scripts
• Work collaboratively and effectively in a very fast-paced environment.
• Identify early defects to improve the quality of the products
• Follow the SDLC and STLC process with quality management and Agile tools like ALM
• Design, code, and construct automation tests; escalate issues during testing
• Play a crucial part in helping drive Quality to help build and ship better products.

All About You:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Knowledge of software testing life cycle [Test planning, Test design and execution, Defect Management, Test Reporting] [Must]
• Hands-on experience on Functional, Regression, System, UAT Testing[Must]
• Experienced in advanced code development, code review, and construction and use of automation frameworks.
• Experience in automation testing using any of the tool like JBehave, TestNG, SOAP UI, Appium, Selenium.
• Excellent defect finding, debugging, root cause analysis capabilities.
• Successfully developed high quality test strategies and text execution.
• Experience of testing solutions for large scale deployments including large enterprises or service providers, banking or payment solutions.
• Hands-on experience of working with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Rally.
• Good at test strategy analysis systematically and delivery focused.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of continuous integration, testing and delivery and toolsets that provide this ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priority efforts in parallel and ensure Quality Assurance standards are followed.
• High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.

Pay Ranges

Vancouver, Canada: $88,000 - $141,000 CAD
