Title and Summary

SVP, ONE Delivery & Solution Engineering Overview

The Senior Vice President, ONE Delivery and Solution Engineering role will be responsible and accountable for all services delivered by the ONE organization to the CTOs they are aligned to, ensuring that customer needs, portfolio outcomes, and technology service delivery are consistently aligned with the CTO's strategic vision, driving enterprise-level impact across the organization. From a business strategy perspective, this role centralizes accountability for technology service delivery, ensuring that investments and initiatives are prioritized, governed, and executed in line with enterprise goals. This role enhances organizational agility and responsiveness to customer needs, while also providing a unified portfolio view that enables CTOs and product leaders to allocate resources effectively, resolve cross-team conflicts, and accelerate delivery.

This role complements the work of CTOs and other senior leaders by bridging strategy with execution by ONE, ensuring alignment across portfolios, and providing real-time transparency into risks, roadmaps, and enterprise outcomes.



Role

Serves as the single point of accountability for technology service delivery, infrastructure design engineering and Site Reliability Engineering aligning customer needs and portfolio outcomes with the CTO's strategic vision.

Centralizes governance, streamlines escalations, provides technical SME knowledge, and drives proactive portfolio management to ensure consistent delivery, clear ownership, and enterprise-level impact.

Translate the CTO's vision into actionable priorities, guiding portfolio delivery and enterprise-level outcomes.

Owns the infrastructure design engineering priorities and aligns to each product within the CTO aligned portfolio.

Provides Level 3 site reliability engineering capability to drive operational efficiencies, continual service improvements and enhanced observability in line with each service requirement

Responsible for implementing metrics-driven continuous improvement, aiming to enhance customer experience, ensure clear ownership, and drive operational excellence.

Is a member of the CTOs extended leadership team; joining team meetings and offsite strategy sessions to stay aligned to the CTOs priorities

Responsible for taking ONE related efforts to the CTOs to influence them for critical efforts (e.g. End of life, patching, ESG, Infrastructure Optimization..)

Collaboration and relationship management across the broader domain to manage/mitigate escalations, customer impacts, reprioritization of efforts, anticipate future needs and adjust budget, organization and staff accordingly.

Drive and lead strategic initiatives, technology enhancements, service delivery and support for the CTOs

Provide strategic judgement, guidance and execution for technology operations, services and support globally while monitoring performance and critical project initiatives

Build/maintain effective relationships with subject matter experts in Security, HR, finance, sales, sourcing, SPM, and other stakeholders to promote cross-functional collaboration and partnership driving positive results across ONE

Lead administrative and organizational matters, process improvements, upgrades across teams globally leveraging key performance indicators and data to identify constraints and form improvement plans

Highly visible and impacting role that's strategic thinking, partnering with senior leaders across the company, cutting edge technology, and skills with an emphasis on people management

Guides software and hardware solutions to address technical issues; seeks opportunities for improvements and efficiencies. Leads complex system and platform problem resolution efforts to prevent recurrence

Demonstrated ability to lead live incident triage across stakeholders to ensure mitigation, root cause analysis and resolutions are achieved.

Performs financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking/adherence to reduce total cost of ownership and allocate resources efficiently / workforce planning and capacity management

Conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaches and develops employees of the organizational



All About You

A successful candidate in this role will be recognized internally as a thought leader in driving portfolio governance, service delivery accountability, and strategic alignment with CTO priorities utilizing IDE and SRE knowledge and capabilities.

A strong preference for influence and negotiating skills as this role focuses on influencing stakeholders and leading negotiations across multiple delivery and portfolio teams

Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple large-scale company initiatives in parallel

Successful track record leading design initiatives to improve processes and increase efficiencies for operational and financial value by leveraging tools and technologies

Experience leading Technology infrastructure teams across a global footprint

Strong Operational Excellence experience: experience delivering higher levels of stability and resiliency and leading incident management practices

Experience building and leading Site Reliability Engineering teams

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple large-scale company initiatives in parallel

Ability to quantify the value and performance of software products and services and demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience influencing CTO level leaders

Demonstrated experience as a leader with the ability to attract, recruit, and develop technical talent

Internal / External Evangelist who can promote the success and advances of the technology infrastructure & operations organization

Natural curiosity, and excitement to stay abreast with the latest technology trends and best practices

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
