Technical Program Manager II Job Description Summary
Overview

This position will be part of the global team supporting the Program Management Guild. Working with over 1300 Technical Program Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers to build community and upskill our members. This global audience is led locally by community of practice leads at offices around the world. The Global PM Guild Team is comprised of regional leads around the world. This role be part of the Global PM Guild Team.

Role

Create training materials and facilitates workshops on common Project and Program Management, Lean, and Agile (Scrum and SAFe) methodologies

Work closely with regional offices around the world to create an engaged community focused on growing our people

Coordinate closely with local office-based Communities of Practice

Build community across all Mastercard Guilds that manage job families

Improve and promote delivery excellence across the organization

Manage budget tracking and overall allocation of funds across the Guild

Empower Guild members to identify potential process improvements, and suggests proactive strategies for consideration by program leadership

Be responsible for metrics and insights associated with the PM Guild
Be accountable for the data quality of key data fields aligned to the PM Guild

Shadow agile coaches and support them as needed when they engage with various programs

Conduct meaningful retrospectives, create action plans to implement changes at the team level; coordinate with other TPMs in the program to align and plan potential actions to be implemented across the program

Clearly articulate scope, timelines, dependencies, owners, actions, risks, and mitigations. Report progress to teams and senior leadership in regular cadence, potentially representing segments of or the entire program

Advanced interpersonal and networking skills to bring the right people together and facilitate problem solving for the organization

Advanced written communication and presentation skills for large and small audiences. We utilize mass communication through various channels – Microsoft Office365 and Salesforce.

Coaching Skills including individual coaching, group facilitation for upskilling, and group facilitation for problem solving.

Bring enthusiasm to training and networking across the globe to help create delivery excellence. Looking for a person who continues to learn and grow independently.

You value psychological safety and bring an open mind and growth mindset; role model that in action and encourage others to do the same.

Experience with hands on detailed planning and execution of global events focused on education and problem solving.

Plan, lead, design and communicate large yearly initiatives with the intent of improving delivery excellence across the firm.

Have experience writing collaborative policy and procedures for project, program and product management.

Have experience writing guidance for tool usage (Aha! and Jira a plus)

Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrate critical thinking, and thought leadership

Help guild members make trade-off decisions by considering all data including business goals, technical platform strategy, customer experience and maintainability.

Proven track record of data-driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies

Demonstrate experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of the individuals you work with across the organization

Familiarity with Aha! and Jira preferred. Past coaching using tools is a plus.

Experience as a trainer or educator is a plus.

PMP certification is a plus. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Pay Ranges
