Title and Summary
Technology Manager, Software Engineering OverviewWe're looking for a visionary and hands-on Technology Manager to lead our development efforts. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong people leadership to guide our team and drive the technical direction of our products.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the long-term technical strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Team Management: Guide and mentor a team of software developers, managing performance, fostering career growth, and promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Architectural Oversight: Oversee the architectural design and implementation of new features and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Project Delivery: Manage the execution and delivery of development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to high quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical point of contact, collaborating effectively with product, operations, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
• Technical Management: Proven experience managing and leading a software development team.
• Core Languages & Frameworks: Deep technical knowledge and recent hands-on experience with Java, Ruby, and the Ruby on Rails framework.
• Cloud Expertise: Strong understanding and practical experience leveraging AWS cloud services for deployment, scaling, and infrastructure management.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical and personnel issues.
• You currently live in Mexico City and has availability to attend the office 3-times per week.
• You are able to communicate in English and have an advanced level of the language.
