Overview

As the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing and communications strategy for Mastercard across the Asia Pacific region. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and affection, grow market share and drive revenue growth in the dynamic financial and technology sector in this region. You will also be responsible for shaping and implementing the communications strategy to enhance our brand reputation, engage stakeholders including our employees and drive our business goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership, setting the direction for marketing and communications and aligning it with the company's overall objectives.
• Brand strategy: Develop and execute a robust brand strategy that retains Mastercard's reputation and image as a leading brand in the financial services and technology space.
• Sponsorship strategy: Develop assets that will be unique and aligned to consumer passion points and work with bank and merchant partners to leverage those assets to drive acquisition and spend on Mastercard.
• Strategic Communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, enhancing our market positioning and brand image.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including employees, customers, media, and agencies.
• Crisis Management: Lead crisis communications efforts in partnership ensuring effective and timely responses to mitigate reputational risks.
• Analyse, learn and pivot: Utilize data driven insights to make informed marketing decisions and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing efforts including Social and SEO to optimize online presence and reach new audiences.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high performing but lean marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
• Drive a culture of innovation: Identifies strategies that leverage new technologies to monetize and scale with partners in the region.
• Evolve the priceless proposition: Scale and amplify the priceless platform with bank and merchant partners in the region and develops priceless to be a key differentiator within the Australasia region.

All About You

• Proven experience in marketing leadership roles ideally within the financial services or tech industries
• You are a strong relationship builder and collaborator. Your energy comes from driving results, building strong relationships at all levels of the organization, and seeing returns and outputs from your strategies.
• You are a creative marketer, excited by innovation and a fantastic communicator.
• You have a proven track record of establishing integrated marketing plans across Australia that that leverage synergies between marketing channels and deliver results.
• Significant experience and proven success in Comms, B2B and Consumer Marketing
• Experience leading both marketing and communications functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in working across both B2C and B2B organisations.
• Strong people leadership expertise
• Thrives in matrixed environments with high level of stakeholder management.
