Overview

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are a central pillar of Mastercard's growth strategy in Brazil. This role will lead the SME segment agenda, ensuring that our products, solutions, and value propositions are competitive, relevant, and aligned with the evolving needs of this critical segment. The Vice President, SME B2B Commercialization & B2B Flows will drive strategic direction, oversee product and go-to-market activities, support sales, and enable the growth of B2B payment flows through initiatives such as Embedded Finance, vertical-specific strategies (e.g., Agribusiness), and partnerships across the ecosystem.

Role

In this senior leadership role, the selected candidate will:

Define and execute the strategic agenda for the SME segment in Brazil, driving growth and strengthening Mastercard's leadership position

Ensure SME products and value propositions are best-in-class and tailored to address the needs of different sub-segments

Leverage Mastercard's loyalty, benefits, and service capabilities to strengthen product differentiation

Partner with issuing banks and fintechs to align product capabilities, go-to-market plans, and commercial priorities for SME growth

Oversee initiatives to expand B2B flows, including Embedded Finance, vertical market strategies, and ecosystem partnerships

Support sales teams in engaging clients, building business cases, and advancing SME-related opportunities

Monitor financial performance, manage product P&L, and provide executive reporting on segment results

Work closely with internal teams, such as Products, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Delivery, to align and execute



All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

Have extensive experience in SME banking, commercial payments, or financial services, with a track record in product management, business development, or segment leadership

Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate market opportunities into actionable plans

Possess deep understanding of B2B payment flows, including economics, adoption levers, and ecosystem dynamics

Have experience leading multifunctional teams and influencing stakeholders across a matrixed organization

Exhibit strong relationship management skills with both internal teams and external partners

Be data-driven, with the ability to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly

Demonstrate excellent organizational and networking skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Communicate effectively in Portuguese and English, both verbally and in writing

Hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM field but not necessarily required, and an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
