Title and Summary
Vice President, Regulatory Relations & Market Compliance - NAM Overview• Regulator/Customer Engagement/Support Framework
• Manage team and oversee development, maintenance and execution against a single, standard engagement and assurance delivery model and drive expanded adoption across business products/services and markets
• Oversee maintenance of centralized inventory of customer and regulator technology and security risk management requirements and assurance expectations
• Oversee standardization and centralization of operational / tech requirements, artifacts and compliance documentation
• Support Market, Technology and Product Risk Leads understand and use of standard engagement framework
• Communicate best practices and leverage trend analysis to develop business and cross-functional strategies around managing obligations in a consultative manner
• Assist in identifying risk and compliance trends and potential red flags, including exception and escalation awareness
• Monitor business, market and regulatory landscape to identify required standards, policy requirements and potential implications to company
Regulator and Customer Technology Support
• Manage Regulator and Customer Support team, provide oversight and SME support, along with driving consistency in our support model
• Manage customer and regulatory technology and security examinations (e.g., on-site, virtual); provide documentation and evidence to demonstrate how Mastercard satisfies obligations and commitments
• Translate regulatory and customer expectations to Mastercard technology and security standards and associated control requirements to support assurance assessments
• Oversee customer and regulatory inquiries and requests for information/questionnaires which includes the mapping of customer control domains to Mastercard controls
• Facilitate periodic customer and regulator meetings and reporting
• Advise business owners on analysis of business and functional requirements resulting from regulation and customer contracts; and help identify technology and security risk and governance solutions
• Identify, analyze and report regulator and customer examination findings and trends to internal stakeholders for action/follow-up
Relationship Management/Partner
• Partner with Regulatory Compliance in identification and response to evolving or new regulatory requirements
• Partner with the Product Managers, Technology Account Managers and Customer Account Managers in the negotiation strategy for customer risk assessments and other audit requirements
• Assist in assessment of risks related to newly acquired entities and critical third-party relationships
Experience
• Degree in technology, information systems management, information security management, security policy or related program desired, but not required
• IT certification(s) a plus
• Knowledge of Risk and Control Framework standards such as SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI-DDS, ISO
• Knowledge of regulatory technology and security risk management expectations
• Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and potential for exploitation
• Familiarity with risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and IT management (e.g., GDPR, FBA, CBA, PFMI, FFIEC, etc.)
• Strong IT technical knowledge
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally, geographically to identify and implement best practice risk processes
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
• Project Management Skills
