Title and Summary

Vice President, Security Solutions Organization (SSO), Government Segment Overview
The Vice-President, Government Ecosystem Development will lead Mastercard's efforts to increase engagements with governments across the Asia Pacific region and enhance the relevance of our security solutions offerings, which include solutions ranging from fraud prevention, anti-scam, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and identity solutions. This role will also foster relationships through collaborations with international and multilateral organizations.

The Role
This role focuses on aligning Mastercard's product, service, and ecosystem capabilities to strengthen our regional relevance to governments, support the sales of services, platforms, and solutions, and expand Mastercard's presence as the economy continues to digitize. The individual will be responsible for new growth opportunities in Mastercard's business across the Asia Pacific region through strategic partnerships and projects with various governments, international NGOs, multilateral organisations and public sector entities.
This senior role will be a part of the security solutions regional leadership team, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Security Solutions. The individual will be accountable for Mastercard's overall engagement with governments in the region. They will lead conversations with senior government stakeholders, including at a senior civil servant to ministerial level, both to advocate for greater digital trust and drive Mastercard's involvement in impactful government projects. They will be accountable for the aforementioned business objectives and will lead cross-functional teams across the Mastercard organization to design, develop, and deliver on projects.
All About You
We are seeking an energetic and enterprising individual with a proven track record in ecosystem development and partnerships specifically with governments across Asia-Pacific. In addition to superior communication skills, a high degree of initiative and agility, as well as experience in technology and service delivery are pre-requisites. Demonstrating an actionable understanding of relevant public sector priorities, projects, and stakeholders, as well as experience in public policy and advocacy will be highly regarded.
The Candidate Must Be
• Able to integrate knowledge across disciplines, including technology, operations, sales, product, marketing, compliance, and risk.
• Self-driven, organized, and proactive with the ability to multi-task.
• Experience in managing teams and entrepreneurial and commercially focused with proven influencing skills.
• Experienced in working on government business, governemnt protocol, tender processes, managing government relationships, and co-developing solutions with governments.
• Capable of mobilizing programs across multiple organizations (customer, partners, suppliers) and managing delivery to successful outcomes.
• Able to strongly articulate the case for public administration to embark upon complex, technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
• A critical thinker and solution-oriented.
• Post Graduate, Masters in business, communications or other relevant fields.
• Possessing 15 years of experience in government engagement, public sector, with experience in the digital, cyber, and financial domains.
