The Division of Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking an Infectious Diseases Physician with Expertise in Transplant Infectious Diseases
The Mayo Clinic Arizona Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking a physician consultant in adult infectious diseases for an expanding academic practice at our Arizona campus.
We are seeking an ID physician with clinical expertise in transplant infectious diseases for our expanding solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplant programs. Recent graduates and those graduating in 2025 from a transplant ID fellowship, or from ID fellowships with a transplant ID track will also be considered. Though primarily a clinical position, there will be numerous opportunities for research collaborations in Arizona and across the Mayo Clinic enterprise.
Mayo Clinic Arizona recently completed its Arizona.Bold.Forward initiative which has led to a significant increase in staffing and new facilities on the Phoenix campus, The Infectious Diseases practice serves the medical and surgical practices of the nation's largest solid organ transplant program at our growing campus in Phoenix, Arizona. Current infectious disease specialty focuses include Solid Organ Transplantation, Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Coccidioidomycosis, Regenerative Therapeutics, Cardiovascular infections, Mycobacterial infections, Travel Clinic, Microbiome therapeutics, Prevention and Control of Healthcare associated Infections, Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
The division currently consists of 9 physicians, 2 Infectious Diseases PharmDs and 4 advanced practitioners who are engaged in a busy clinical practice, research and education. The division is home to one of two Infectious Diseases fellowships in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Faculty are engaged in the training of infectious disease fellows, residents, and medical students and will be expected to be academically and clinically productive.
Qualified candidates must be ABIM board eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases, possess excellent interpersonal skills, be team oriented and motivated to succeed clinically and academically. The position includes an academic appointment within the Mayo Clinic, Alix College of Medicine. This position is not available to J-1 VISA applicants.
