The Payroll Administrator position allows you the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule (on-site and at home) as long as you reside within a 50-mile radius of the Brooklyn, OH Medical Mutual office.

Process payroll related transaction for employees.  Compiles, prepares, and maintains payroll reports. Reconciles and analyzes payroll accounts.

Responsibilities

·    Trains, audits, resolves, and reconciles transactions and issues with ADP Vantage and payroll self-service.  Processes and audits benefit and HR transactions.

·    Processes, audits, and reconciles employee/employer HSA transactions.  Funds and uploads contributions to the bank.  Resolves issues between HR benefits and the bank.

·    Reviews and Interprets court documents.  Processes, audits, and reconciles wage attachment transactions.  Acts as a liaison between the courts, attorneys, agencies, and employees to resolve issues. 

·    Interprets 401(k) rules for employees. Processes, audits, and reconciles 401k transactions.  Collects data for external agencies and acts as a liaison between agency and employees.

·    Processes, audits, and reconciles flexible spending account transactions. Creates and disseminates reports for HR Benefits.

·    Trains and educates Managers/employees on expense policies and procedures for Concur.  Reviews, audits, and processes employee expense reports.  Collects data for internal and external auditors.

·    Supports and acts as backup for the Sr. Payroll Administrator and Manager.

·    Performs departmental administrative responsibilities.  Distributes non-negotiables and interoffice mail. 

·    Completes employer verifications.  Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll.

·    Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

·   Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Will consider collective experience, training, and education in lieu of degree.

·    1 year of payroll experience required; 2 years of payroll experience preferred.

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

·    Basic accounting and bookkeeping.

·    Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

·    Knowledge of corporate expense reimbursement policies.

·    Knowledge of 401k rules and limits.

·    Knowledge of Flexible Spending Account eligibility requirements and limits.
