Software Developer I

Partners with other software developers, business systems analysts, and liaisons to translate user requirements and systems objectives into a logical, efficient and optimal systems design.  Develops and maintains new and existing applications by writing code based on the aforementioned design to ensure that business rules, security standards and government regulations are met. Escalates issues to management for resolution . Assists in creating and executing required test plans on all new and changed components.

Software Developer II

Software Developer V

Provides management with recomendations for issue resolution.  Creates and executes required test plans on all new and changed components.

Software Developer I

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains new and existing applications by analyzing, designing and writing code writing code that satisfies a logical, efficient and optimal systems design.
  • Supports testing, implementation, and break-fix tasks associated with business applications.
  • Supports the development of documentation of technical workflows and systems designs and verifies against user requirements.
  • Learns new technical concepts and software languages as needed.
  • Works with database staff and security staff to ensure that data standards and security standards are properly applied.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Software Developer II

  • Develops documentation of technical workflows and systems designs and verifies against user requirements.
  • Works with database staff and security staff to ensure that data standards and security standards are properly applied.
  • Coaches and mentors team members to advance staff development.
  • Maintains active awareness of IT industry including new developments, emerging trends, development tools, techniques and best practices.

Software Developer I

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Prefer previous experience in information systems and/or analysis and design experience 

Professional Certification(s):

N/A

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of programming design and coding techniques.
  • Familiarity with systems development life cycle.

Software Developer II

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years information systems experience. 

Professional Certification(s):

  • N/A

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of programming design and coding techniques.
  • Solid understanding of systems development life cycle.

Software Developer III

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years information systems experience.
  • Minimum 2 years analysis and design experience.
