General Summary of Position
Athletic Trainers are highly qualified multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services emergency care clinical diagnosis therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) II/Community Liaisons (CL) providededicated comprehensive sports medicine services to implement and coordinate efforts to educate members of the community to services offered by MedStar Sports Medicine. The ATC II/CL work with the entire MedStarbusiness development team to provide valuable feedback about the sports medicine needs of the community andthe perception of our current services to develop and execute marketing and referral plans
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited college or university. required
- Master's degree preferred
- 3-4 years experience practicing as a certified athletic trainer required
- 5-7 years experience preferred
- 1-2 years within Medstar national rehabilitation network (MNRN) preferred
- Certified as an ATC by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification(NATABOC) required
- Eligible for ATC license in Maryland and Virginia and eligible to practice in the District of Columbia. required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Professional competency as outlined by NATABOC practice domains.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $61,838.00 - USD $111,259.00 /Yr.
