MedStar Health is seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (AGACNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our Critical Care teams throughout the Washington, D.C. region.

As part of MedStar Health, you will work alongside experienced intensivists, physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Position Highlights- Opportunities throughout the Washington, D.C. region
- Practice in collaborative ICU and Critical Care environments
- Manage complex adult inpatient and critically ill patient populations
- Work closely with board-certified intensivists and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong APP involvement in clinical decision-making and patient management

- Supportive physician leadership and collegial practice environments
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, specialists, nursing teams, and ancillary staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination
- Perform bedside procedures consistent with training, experience, and departmental needs
- Provide patient and family education while supporting high-quality patient outcomes
- Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current AGACNP certification (NP) or NCCPA certification (PA)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Eligible for Maryland licensure
- Minimum of one year of inpatient clinical experience
- Critical Care, ICU, Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, Pulmonary/Critical Care, or other high-acuity inpatient experience
- Procedural experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills
