Status: Full Time; 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Hours: 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is looking for an Executive Assistant I to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital!

The Executive Assistant I provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Colorectal Surgery Department, assisting in the coordination of day-to-day personnel, financial, and departmental activities

Primary Duties:

  • Provides comprehensive administrative support to department leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, reimbursements, and preparation of reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Coordinates daily operations and special projects by gathering and maintaining data, compiling statistics, and ensuring timely completion of departmental initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison for internal and external communications, ensuring accurate information exchange between leadership, staff, and outside partners.
  • Maintains organized filing systems, departmental records, and databases; prepares and distributes materials, agendas, and meeting minutes as needed.
  • Assists with budget monitoring, purchase orders, and supply management; supports personnel and onboarding processes as assigned.
  • Contributes to departmental quality, safety, and service improvement goals by supporting compliance efforts and representing the department in committees or community initiatives.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible administrative or office experience; prior supervisory or senior-level administrative experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related software; ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and communication platforms.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $59,820.00 - USD $101,836.00 /Yr.
