Summary of Position:
MedStar Health is seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Coordinator to support the daily operations of a dynamic department. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys juggling multiple priorities, and takes pride in keeping teams running smoothly.
You'll serve as a central hub for the department—coordinating activities, supporting leadership, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. From managing schedules and organizing meetings to maintaining records and handling communications, your work will directly contribute to team efficiency and overall success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meetings, events, and department activities while managing complex calendars
- Serve as a key point of contact for staff, leadership, and external partners
- Handle incoming calls, correspondence, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and departmental databases
- Support payroll processing, purchasing, invoicing, and budget tracking
- Oversee office operations including supplies, equipment, and vendor coordination
- Assist with onboarding, training support, and maintaining personnel records
- Contribute to special projects, process improvements, and quality initiatives
Minimal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, required (associate's degree or administrative/secretarial training, preferred)
- 3+ years of administrative or secretarial experience
- Experience in a healthcare, hospital, or ambulatory setting, preferred.
- Transcription experience is required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Access software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving customer service and time management skills.
- Transcription skills may be required.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $23.65 - USD $42.03 /Hr.
