You will care for patients recovering from severe burns, traumatic injuries, and complex critical conditions while supporting their families through the healing process.

What You'll Do

Provide expert nursing care for patients with acute burns, traumatic injuries, and complex critical conditions.


Continuously assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient status using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.

 


Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurse leaders, and the multidisciplinary team.
Serve as a patient and family advocate, communicating clearly and compassionately.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.


Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and evidence-based practice enhancements.


Mentor and support new team members through orientation, education, and professional development opportunities.

What You Bring

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. If prepared at the associate level, enrollment in a BSN program within 12 months and completion within 4 years is required.


Experience: Prior critical care, trauma, or burn care nursing experience preferred.
Licensure and Certifications: Active RN license in the District of Columbia (DC is not part of the compact).
BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross within 90 days of hire.
Additional specialty certifications may be required depending on department needs.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $40.17 - USD $88.17 /Hr.
