General Summary of Position
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides speech-language pathology services with services to include but not limited to screening and evaluation treatment planning treatment implementation treatment re-assessment and revision patient/client re-evaluation discharge planning and documentation in a variety of settings. The Speech-Language Pathologist participates as requested in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology of an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology. required or
- Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology of an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology required
- Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY). required
- SP-L - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland District of Columbia (DC) and/or Virginia licensure as deemed necessary for your specific location(s) required
- ASHA - American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in speech-language pathology; demonstrates independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches.
- Able to work in a team environment; organized timely detail-oriented; customer service skills for interacting with patients including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds; takes initiative in following through with all procedures and policies; effective communication; must be able to utilize computer systems
This position has a hiring range of
USD $55.00 - USD $55.00 /Hr.
