General Summary of Position
The Healthcare Venture Analyst at the Business Innovation Lab at the MedStar Institute for Innovation (MI2) supports strategic initiatives that drive healthcare transformation through partnerships, investments, and new venture creation. Works closely with senior team members to evaluate emerging health technologies, analyze new business models, and support a portfolio of internal ventures and external startups.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree In Business, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field required
- Master's degree preferred
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience
- 1-2 years In healthcare consulting, corporate strategy, venture capital, innovation, or hospital operations required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare system dynamics, provider and payer models, and health tech trends.
- Strong analytical and financial skills; experience with data analysis and visualization; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills, especially in distilling complex healthcare and tech topics.
- Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and non-clinical teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Passion for healthcare innovation and a mission-driven mindset.
This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $131,310
