MedStar Health is looking for an Imaging Modality Supervisor to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital!
As an Imaging Modality Supervisor, you will participate in and supervise the operational, personnel and financial activities of the department section. Primary Duties:
Coordinates the technical and patient care activities for the modality under the direct supervision of the modality Operations Director. Participates in and evaluates all technical functions pertaining to the section's operation.
Oversees, assigns duties, and assists in monitoring of activities to ensure that all professional and regulatory standards are met. Participates in the performance improvement, patient satisfaction and quality assurance activities of the department. Assists modality Operations Director with human resource management functions; including, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates of the section.
Facilitates education of department staff by participating in orientation of employees, identifying educational needs and delivery of education opportunities in coordination with modality Operations Director. Ensures adequate inventory of supplies is maintained for efficient delivery of care and is within budgetary guidelines. Coordinates inventory requirements (par levels), and provides supervision of the inventory cycle counting, re-stocking, competing order forms.
Assists modality Operations Director for new product evaluation, procurement and establishing par levels and new product training. Participates in monitoring and controlling of assigned operational budgets by appropriately managing inventory and labor usage. Assists with accounting and reporting of inventory surplus, product returns, and damages.
Responsible for the assistance and monitoring of compliance for the technical workflow of Radiology Information System (RIS), Enterprise Radiology Solutions (ERS) and EMR (Electronic Medical Record). Exemplifies SPIRIT values, actively participates in Patient Safety standards and tasks. Holds departmental staff accountable for conformity with the standards in all activity.
Qualifications:
Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology.
3 years related experience in diagnostic radiology with the balance in another radiology modality.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology).
CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
Advanced Certification in modality of supervision (i.e., Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiac Interventional (CI), Mammography (M), Nuclear Medicine (N), Magnetic Resonance (MR), Sonography (S), Computer Tomography (CT), Quality Management (QM), Bone Density (BD).
IV and/or PICC certification, dependent on area of supervision.
This position has a hiring range of $41.98 - $75.62
