MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group has an opening for a Cardiac Hospitalist to join our team!

 

Job Duties: 

 

Participate in the patient care activities of the service. Responsible for evaluation and management of

patients admitted on MHVI Wards Service; Management may take the form of: Admission, diagnostic and therapeutic evaluation and documentation. Responsible for full inpatient management of the patient. Provide advisory support to the nurse practitioner service. Manage urgent and emergent floor calls for any patient on the MHVI Wards Service Coordinate, develop research projects and obtain support to carry out any research developed or conducted. Participate in the preparation and publication of medical articles pertaining to the specialty. When needed and as circumstances require, serve as the medical director and discharge planning advisor on selected medical units.

 

Requirements: 

 

Position requires a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or foreign equivalent. 

 

Position requires completion of a three-year ACGME- and ABIM-recognized Internal Medicine residency program. 

 

Position requires a valid District of Columbia medical license and Board Certification in Internal Medicine, The American Board of Internal Medicine.

Salary:   $265,000.00 - $295,000.00/ year
