Description

Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to deadlines and within budget This may include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the project life cycle. Responsible for the day-to-day management of programs and projects.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. required and
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 3-4 years Project management experience, healthcare setting preferred or
  • Strategic planning and market research experience in healthcare. Experience managing and completing multiople high-visibility projects and deliverables. Experience working with vendors required

  • Builds, develops, and grows internal relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Coordinates project post-mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Coordinates the estimations of resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Develops project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Directs and manages project development from beginning to end. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Manages project stakeholder expectations. Reports accurate project information. Creates project management documents and presentations to support medium and large projects.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Acts as liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Tracks project milestones and deliverables. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans. Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identifies and resolves issues within the project team.
  • May ensures data integrity of the planning and patient experience platforms by providing oversight of patient encounter data extracts. Assists in managing the departmental analytics and business intelligence platform and tools.
  • May maintains working knowledge of strategic planning, market analytics and market research methods and tools and trends in the healthcare industry. Continuously scans the field for competitive intelligence and emerging practices and platforms.
  • Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts. Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
