Vascular Access (VAT)/IV Therapy Team Highlights
IV Therapy RNs don't carry a patient load and float to all units in the hospital
Some functions include: IV ultrasound, port access, dressing changes, non-tunnel line pulls upon discharge amongst others
Float between MedStar Good Samaritan & MedStar Union Memorial Hospitals
Low associate turnover
Available Role: PRN Nights
Minimum of two 12-hour night shifts per 6-week schedule
Ability to pick up weekends and last-minute needs
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Two years of IV Therapy/Vascular Access RN experience strongly preferred.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required. ACLS preferred.
