Pharmacy Liaisons are responsible for assisting the Bedside Delivery Technician with all non-dispensing aspects of medication deliveries to discharge patients and MedStar employees. Duties include gathering Rx's and obtaining patient consent, coordination with bedside technicians, prescription delivery, and handling of payment transactions via mobile device. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting with the non-dispensing functions in the pharmacy including, answering the phone; gathering patient's information for the intake process for new and refill prescription request; handling the pickup area; and performing payment transactions, as well as maintaining the OTC area; delivering or picking up, mail to the mail room; and restocking pharmacy supplies.
High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.1-2 years established work history in a customer service role and cashier experience required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, and basic computer skills required. Must be highly productive, organized, and comfortable engaging with patients, family members, and healthcare providers. Adept at building trust and relationships.
