General Summary of Position
Provides advanced support for the MPBS/MURCO Training Department. Responsibilities include: orienting new trainers to the organization and training end-users throughout MedStar Health and associated affiliates to utilize numerous system functionalities to the highest level that their position requires; ensuring the expansion and improvement of the training curriculum and materials; assisting with end-user and systems testing, data and process analysis, systems data conversion, systems go-live support, systems additions, deletions and/or upgrades; monitoring Provider Training Coordinators thorough auditing and evaluation tools; overseeing continuous updates to and distributes performance enhancing job tools to the Provider Training Coordinators; and assisting with the maintenance of the MPBS/MURCO and MedStar Health policies and procedures manual.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the facilitation of training related to Reconciliation and Management Reporting for all eligible MedStar Health Facilities and affiliates.
  • Audits the enhancement and modification of training documentation and ensures all training documentation is available on the MPBS Intranet Website.
  • Compiles information for the monthly MPBS User Group Meeting and weekly educational emails. Presents updated documentation to MedStar Health entities.
  • Conducts on-site/virtual training and support during system deployment. Assists with the coordination of system and user testing for system enhancement and upgrades for all eligible MedStar Health facilities and affiliates.
  • Coordinates Athena IDX web and character cell systems training for the MPBS/MURCO and all eligible MedStar Health facilities and affiliates.
  • Coordinates the development of training manuals, eLearning modules, and documentation as well as the presentation of new training in-services to ensure accurate data capture, the proper use new system enhancements and modifications, better customer service skills, and current system/user issues. Directs the development, maintenance, and distribution of end-user assessment tools.
  • Enhances professional growth through development of and participation in educational programs, current literature, in- services, meetings, workshops, online educational modules, and conferences.
  • Ensures completion of work needed to achieve training project objectives, including tracking MS Project tasks, implement changes and monitoring issue resolution to achieve maximum team performance.
  • Exemplifies Guest and Associate Relations standards in all activities in areas of service, resource utilization, high quality outcomes and effective communication.
  • For implementation projects, confirms system hardware and software specifications with Information Systems and the client departments.
  • Investigates and conveys recurring system/user issues and trends to MPBS/MURCO leadership and client departments.
  • Invokes a monthly authentication process for data reported on the duplicate medical records and Z97/Z99 reports for all MedStar facilities and affiliates.
  • Monitors project performances utilizing tools provided and ensures project deliverables conform to QA standards.
  • Facilitates, participates and contributes to project, user group, and associate/team meetings regarding system processes, enhancements, and implementations. Reports outcome of meeting to MPBS/MURCO Training Manager and Associate Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area.
  • Reviews and disburses noncompliant system deactivation listing to the IS IDX security team and client departments.
  • Supervises, develops, and reviews electronic training modules utilizing the Articulate 360 application and posting to the SITEL LMS site.
  • Updates the MPBS/MedStar Health Policies and Procedures Manual with approval from MPBS/MURCO leadership.
  • With the IDX Security Team, ensures that Athena IDX user access is granted only in conjunction with the required system user training and includes the review and approval of the completed Security Access Request Form and the Security Questionnaire.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Consideration will be given to appropriate combination of education, training, and experience.

    Experience

    • 5-7 years Related experience required
    • 4 years of supervisor or leadership experience required

    • Working knowledge of computer systems

    • Excellent oral presentation and teaching skills. High energy level, creativity, and self motivation essential

    This position has a hiring range of $58,656 - $98,384
