Find your calling at Mercy! Urgent care Advance Practice Manager (PA/NP) will be divided between Clinical Care (75%) and Administrative Responsibilities (25%):
Clinical: Will provide urgent care clinical services as a float provider across the market. Provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience.
Administrative: Will provide a wide variety of administrative including: AP leader on the clinical leadership team, EMR training and efficacy, procedure/skills training, and act as a project implementation manager for special projects and initiatives. In-clinic mentoring, real-time observation and direct feedback to APs will be expected. Lead AP, along with clinical leadership team, will assist with schedule management, assist with finding coverage for callouts, chart review, patient quality/satisfaction initiatives, cover assigned clinical leadership duties during sick-leave or PTO, and any other administrative duties at the discretion of the Medical Director. Lead AP will be active member of clinical leadership meetings and collaboratively disseminate best practices to all providers and staff. Position Details:

The Advanced Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation of a physician practice. This individual oversees various administrative and operational functions to ensure the smooth functioning of the practice. They are responsible for managing caregivers, financial activities, patient relations, and regulatory compliance.
Scope: Scope of influence and complexity of role may be defined by factors, including but not limited to:
• Expanded span of control of providers
• Expanded span of control of direct and indirect reports
• Location and geographical distance of practice(s)
• Leadership specific criteria
Qualifications:
- Preferred Education: Bachelors degree
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Education may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Experience:
- 3 years of clinic management experience
- Epic experience preferred
- Financial acumen knowledge
- Skills, Knowledge Abilities:
- Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate caregivers to achieve practice goals.
- Problem-solving: Capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and other stakeholders.
