Description

Find your calling at Mercy! Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, provides compassionate, patient-centered care to an assigned group of hospice patients. Delivers personal care services including bathing, skin, oral and hair care, nail care, dressing, and linen changes, adjusting level of assistance based on individual patient needs. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients.
Provides care that is respectful of age-specific needs and cultural diversity, including individual beliefs, lifestyles, and physical abilities. Supports patient comfort by assisting with approved pain interventions within scope of certification. Observes and reports concerns, including signs of abuse or neglect, and collaborates with the care team to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Adheres to Mercy's mission, as well as all hospital safety and infection control policies, to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and coworkers. Position Details:

Qualifications:

Education

High school diploma or GED, preferred

Licensure: Valid driver's license

Certifications

Certified Nursing Assistant and/or completion of the Mercy-approved Patient Care Tech Program. CPR certification required but can be obtained after hire

Experience

Experience in a homecare or nursing facility, preferred
