The Program Director is responsible for the successful implementation, ongoing management and overall market growth of the Wound Care Center (WCC) within the designated market area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily operations, budgeting, reimbursement and finance, human resources management, quality management, marketing, community education, clinical support, and maintaining client relationships. The WCC program success is measured through theachievement of the financial objectives and healing outcomes for the client. Performs duties andresponsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience: Three to five years of experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on program operations. Personnel management, quality management, marketing,finance, and reimbursement experience are desirable.

Other: Working knowledge of various accrediting agency and regulatory agencies, such as JCAHO, required as well. The applicant must demonstrate a high degree of competency in the use of various computer applications, management, supervisory, leadership, team building and motivational skills. Must demonstrate the ability to work within a matrix environment, leading an interdisciplinary team, with the ongoing development of creating and maintaining effective professional relationships with key contacts that include not only the host hospital but other medical professional organizations and managed care/insurance organizational. Must be proficient in the planning and implementation of community and professional education with excellent written and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate effective problem solving, negotiating skills and decision making. A high degree of analytical and organizational skills with a strong working knowledge of the managed care environment, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement as well as financials (profit and loss). Must possess the ability to take initiative and work independently in a diverse, fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Nursing preferred

Preferred Experience: Prior experience in medical sales and/or community education with healthcare professionals and community agencies highly desirable.
