Mercy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic team. This is a dynamic, high-volume environment where you'll play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers—especially through nurse triage call line support and direct patient care.

What You'll DoSupport providers and patients across both clinical and administrative functions:
Clinical Responsibilities- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Collect and update medical and medication histories
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures
- Perform basic diagnostic testing (EKGs, glucose checks, urine dips, etc.)
- Reinforce patient education provided by the care team
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
- Manage nurse triage call line (Monday–Thursday)
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care
- Complete prior authorizations and precertification's
- Handle front desk tasks (phones, check-in/out, documentation)
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EHR

Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
Certified Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
LPN:
Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing
Licensure: Active LPN licensure
Preferred Experience: 6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office
