Responsible for the performance and reporting various technical, chemical, microscopic and microbiological tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment. Performs these tests in the areas of Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Bacteriology, Blood Bank, Serology, and Urinalysis. Also responsible for, but not limited to, performing specimen collections, routine equipment operation and maintenance/repair, inventory control, quality control, calibration, workload recording, and quality assessment. Properly utilizes the LIS and all other computer programs related to patient care. Demonstrates positive customer service skills. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: Qualifications Education: Associates degree in a major that meets an accreditation agency's requirements, Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Science including6 credit hours in both Chemistry and Biologyor MLT Registration (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent Licensure: Experience:1yearclinical laboratory experienceor MLT registration with a nationally recogonized registry ASCP or AMT Certifications: Other: Preferred Education: Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Preferred Certifications: MLT (ASCP/AMT ) or equivalent Preferred Other: Why Mercy?
