The Manager Mercy Billing Shared Services has a direct reporting relationship with the Executive Director/Director of Patient Financial Services and is responsible for the coordination and management of non-patient billing and accounts receivable for all Mercy facilities. This includes general ledger configuration, customer set up, financial analysis, monitoring organizational performance, benchmarking functional/service line operations and managing the billing, posting and collection process. Also manages the day-to-day processes within the Billing Shared Services department to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all transactions, including processes to monitor and improve internal controls. Manager provides analysis and support to administration, develops reports for departments and interprets data for all levels of the Communitys operations. Manager is responsible for recommending work simplification to insure coordination and eliminate unnecessary or duplication of efforts within the areas of responsibility. Must be able to work well with other finance professionals, administrative leaders, and external customers.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Requires a minimum of five years business or accounting experience or a level of practical experience necessary to enable efficient achievement of job requirements with a minimum level of day-to-day supervision.
  • Required Education:  Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Other: 1. Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.2. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.3. Strong communication skills, ability to interact with departmental leaders.4. Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.5. Ability to work with and preserve confidential informationPreferred Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting
