The Mobile Virtual Proc Provider is responsible for providing skilled clinical services to patients in their homes under the direction of a Hospitalist physician, supporting the delivery of acute-level care within the Hospital Care at Home (HCaH) service. The Paramedic functions as a clinical extender, collaborating with virtual providers and RNs through telemedicine and direct in-person care. This role includes performing advanced procedures, facilitating care transitions (e.g., admissions and discharges), and ensuring consistent documentation. Overview:
The Mobile Virtual Proc Provider is responsible for providing skilled clinical services to patients in their homes under the direction of a Hospitalist physician, supporting the delivery of acute-level care within the Hospital Care at Home (HCaH) service. The Paramedic functions as a clinical extender, collaborating with virtual providers and RNs through telemedicine and direct in-person care. This role includes performing advanced procedures, facilitating care transitions (e.g., admissions and discharges), and ensuring consistent documentation. Must have the ability to execute procedures such as initiating intravenous access independently.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of state education requirements for an accredited Paramedic program.
Experience: Three years of experience in acute healthcare/hospital setting and/or EMS- Mobile Integrated Health Program.
Licensure: Active state license as a Paramedic (Community Paramedic and/or Critical Care license preferred). Valid driver's license and no restrictions prohibiting ability to transport patients, as needed.
Certification:
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
