Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities & Duties
• Hybrid position (Inpatient/Outpatient responsibilities)
• Orders electrophysiology studies and diagnostic tests to evaluate heart rhythm disorders
• Interpret test results and develop treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
• Provide patient education regarding heart conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
• Monitor and adjust medications for heart rhythm management
• Perform follow-up assessments to ensure the efficacy of treatments and interventions
• Manage emergency situations related to cardiac conditions
• Participate in research activities and clinical trials within the field of electrophysiology
• Document patient care accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrophysiology through continuing education
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing electrophysiology studies and interventions
