Patient Service Representative – Primary Care
Location: Mercy 65 Prime Plus South City

Saint Louis, MO 63109
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience: One year of applicable medical office experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective, professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
• Excellent customer service abilities with an empathetic, patient‑focused approach.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in documentation, scheduling, and data entry.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies.
• Adaptability and composure when working under pressure or managing unexpected situations.
• Completion of Clinic Core Front Desk Training post‑hire.
Job Responsibilities:
• Greet patients, verify identity, and provide professional front‑desk support.
• Perform clerical tasks including phone management, Epic chart creation, scanning, RightFax, mail processing, and copying.
• Manage check‑in, check‑out, and appointment scheduling.
• Balance and close cash drawer daily with accurate reporting.
• Operate and maintain clinic equipment (computers, scanners, credit card machines, fax/copiers, etc.).
• Review communications, participate in meetings, and support workflow or Epic updates.
• Maintain a clean, safe reception and waiting area following Infection Control guidelines.
• Follow safety, confidentiality, and incident reporting policies.
• Maintain accurate EHR and patient charts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
