Overview:

 

The Product Development Manager has hand on responsibility over product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and execution of the new product development  process prioritizing product Concept to Consumer, ensuring positive consumer experience of new concepts/products introduced or commercialized annually. This role will continue to evolve as we transition out of a Mercy-centric mind-set, to a consumer-centric mindset and operating model. As such, strong communication and positioning skills will drive high impact with cross-functional teams.  Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to help others- on their team and via peer influence- through the midst of an industry, a ministry and a department in transition is core foundational expectation of the role.

 

This role will report to either a Sr. Product Development Manager or the Director of Product Development.

 

Qualifications

      • Education: Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred with emphasis in Marketing, Business Management or a related discipline preferred.
      • Experience/Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of business experience in the field of marketing, product development and/or management. Experience in life-cycle management, leading cross function teams, and using a product development process preferred.
      • Skills/Abilities:
        • Ability to develop product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization of requirements
        • Ability to interpret market data and research to identify business and product needs
        • Effectively identify and prioritize product features, MVP requirements, and optimizations
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence
        • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
        • Able to negotiate, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders
        • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
        • Proven track record of success in driving positive change and ROI
        • Ability to work independent, plan, and organize multiple responsibilities and product plans
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note) and other related operating systems.
