PRN Position RequirementsPRN nurses at Mercy play a vital role in supporting our care teams and patients. As a PRN RN, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling while still being an integral part of our mission. Requirements include:
- A minimum of 36 hours per six-week scheduling period
- At least one 12-hour weekend shift per schedule (Friday 3 p.m. – Monday 7 a.m.)
- One summer and one winter holiday shift (12 hours each) annually
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Missouri; must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking during shifts
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed
