Overview:

  • The RN OR Team Leader is a professional registered nurse who functions as a primary nurse and has responsibility and accountability for quality nursing care in assessing, planning, implementing, educating and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with all established Hospital Policies & Procedures, and the Nursing Practice Act.
  • He/she is responsible for managing supplies, and equipment on the unit and for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • License/RegistrationCurrent license/registration required for position:Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Education: Minimum Required:Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Experience: Additional Education/Experience Information:Must have BSN.
  • Prefer a minimum of six months recent preoperative experience.
  • Must successfully complete a surgical competency-based orientation program.
  • Must have current CPR Certification.
  • Previous leadership work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge of nursing practice standard, appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Be knowledgeable of peri-operative nursing practices and apply AORN standards.
