- Shift: Nights, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Join a fast-paced, high-acuity 30-bed Surgical and Orthopedic Unit that cares for a diverse population of medical and post-surgical patients. Nurses on this unit gain valuable experience in both medical-surgical nursing and orthopedic nursing while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
Patient Populations Include:- Orthopedic surgery patients including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
- Post-operative general surgery patients
- Appendectomies
- Cholecystectomies
- Colon resections
- Bariatric surgery patients
- Sepsis treatment and recovery
- Pancreatitis care
- Stable pneumothorax management
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:6

Registered Nurse Qualifications Required Education- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Missouri RN License or Compact State RN License
- Must meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- Additional unit-specific certifications as required
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and perform physical patient care activities
