The Clinic Scheduler/Insurance Specialist is responsible for multiple facets of patient financial account services within the practice; including but not limited to patient benefit assessment, insurance verification, pre-certification, pre-authorizations, pre-determination for services, and referrals management. This individual also coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling. Schedules all appointments for patients requiring surgery and revises/cancels appointments as necessary. Acts as an interdepartmental liaison and maintains familiarity with scheduling functions. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: Surgery Scheduler – Mercy Clinic Southfork Urology
Location: 12700 Southfork Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63128
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Minimum Required Qualifications
Experience: 1 year of experience as a surgery scheduler.
Other Skills and Knowledge: Medical terminology. Computer skills. Telephone etiquette. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
