The role of VP, Business Development is to prioritize and execute business development opportunities and strategies that drive sustainable growth and revenue across the Ministry. This position will report directly to the SVP, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer with close collaboration with community and ministry leaders.
High level job requirements
• Develop partnership with community and ministry leadership to identify, prioritize and execute business development opportunities and strategies that drive sustainable revenue across the ministry.
• Develop and implement Business Development processes, structure, measurements and tools that support growth initiatives.
• Understand & report on competitive landscape, physician movement, employer strategies and provide real-time intelligence to ministry leadership to influence/shape/adjust strategy and resource allocation. Position Details:

Education Requirements 
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration required 
• Master's in health services administration, MBA or related advance degree preferred 

Experience Requirements 
• 10-15 years sales experience, with a strong track record of delivering results at (or above) plan 
• Experience in leading a highly productive sales team 
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data and information in a planning and decision-making process 
• Health system strategic planning &/or business development experience, or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred skill requirements 
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
• Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of external audiences & organizational levels, including ministry and community leaders
• Comfort with daily CRM/PRM usage; as a pipeline and activity management/prioritization tool 
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Excellent negotiation skills 
• Ability to create ‘constructive tension' 
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, financial background a plus 
• Excellent project management skills 
• Strong conceptual thinking skills 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment 
• Knowledge of financial, accounting, and budgeting activities and analysis 
• Possess high degree of integrity and moral character
