You'll support a diverse and meaningful women's health population, including:
- NICU mothers
- Post-surgical patients (hysterectomy, breast reconstruction, urogynecology, C-section complications)
- Patients experiencing fetal demise
- GI medical and post-abdominal surgery patients
- Women's Med/Surg overflow
- Previable mothers with non-pregnancy-related complications
This role blends high-level clinical skills with deep emotional intelligence, offering experience that will grow you both professionally and personally.
What You'll DoAs a Women's Health/GYN RN, you will utilize the nursing process to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while maintaining professional accountability for your patients.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Engaging patients and families in care decisions
- Assessing and documenting patient education needs and learning readiness
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care
- Conducting safe and effective patient handoffs using tools such as SBAR and bedside report
- Communicating clearly with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Participating in unit huddles, process improvement initiatives, and ongoing education
- Delegating appropriately to LPNs and unlicensed assistive staff
- Upholding patient rights, confidentiality, and organizational values
- Maintaining required certifications and competencies
- Supporting a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
Licensure:
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure (or ability to obtain within 30 days of graduation)
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
(or obtained within 30 days of hire)
Experience:
- New grads and experienced RNs encouraged to apply
- Residency support available for nurses early in their career
