SHIFT/HOURS/LOCATION: M-F 8am-5pm, on-site, Moses Lake, WA  

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • Oversees raw material and critical supply orders
  • Coordinates orders with production and receiving staff
  • Ascertains availability and timely receipt of raw material and supplies
  • Monitors inventory levels – Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Approves Purchase Orders based on pre-established approval limits
  • Coordinates with Accounting on purchase terms and payment issues
  • Escalates ZBIN/<MIN issues that would impact production
  • Reviews/Approves Time-off and timecards
  • Monitors the implementation and acquisition of training for personnel
  • Provides coaching for team members
  • Supports individual team member goals and department goals
  • Maintains employee work schedules, monitors attendance and approves employee leave
  • Works to continuously improve productivity, cost savings, safety and morale to gain positive results in all areas
  • Plans, organizes and controls activities of the department including execution of departmental goals and objectives
  • Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department and corporate goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to drive continual improvement
  • Raw Materials & Commodity Materials Management
  • Purchasing Management
  • Proprietary Materials Management
  • Material Requirement Planning Management (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Ownership from Purchase Order Generation to Invoice Receipt Approval
  • Approves Purchase Orders within a specified value determined by MLI management
  • Works with other departments to prepare and coordinate purchases
  • Works closely with Accounting, Production, Shipping and Warehouse departments to assure that purchases are fulfilled in accordance with customer demands and within MLI policy and procedure
  • Works with Logistics/Materials & customs broker for incoming international shipments
  • Coordinates with Accounting department regarding purchase terms and payment issues
  • Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.”
  • Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.
  • Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required.  It is the employee's commitment to ensure that the Company's actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high performing team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Assertive, self-starter that sets initiative and goals
  • Analytical skills using data and common tools to achieve result
  • Understanding and application of problem-solving methods, tools and demonstrated skill
  • Detail oriented, highly accurate with resourceful without-of-box thinking and results oriented
  • Work effectively independently and as part of a dynamic/collaborative team. Customer service, work through others, teamwork and high preference for collaboration & partnership
  • Effective time manager with high organization, prioritize and balance competing priorities. Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications, including presentation skills, in English
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office Suite, including Access & Visio, and Project Management techniques (PMI), RCA/CAPA/8D and systems
  • Ability to travel (All US States & International)

  • Regular and punctual attendance is expected in order to accomplish the critical mission of the department and organization.
  • Maintain physical condition and health to be able to timely perform assigned job duties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year degree preferred
  • Warehouse Management, Purchasing/Materials, Inventory Management and/or Logistics experience

 

SALARY & BENEFITS

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $68,400K-$93,100K.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Duties are generally performed indoors in an office and high purity manufacturing environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. When working in the presence of safety hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses and full leather shoes, etc. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gasses that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc.
