NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Coordinator, Benefits based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office.

The Senior Coordinator, Benefits oversees the day-to-day of employee benefit programs, acting as a subject matter expert and resource for employees throughout the company.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administer all aspects of the benefit enrollment process, including new hires, company transfers, and rehires, ensuring compliance with plan documents and legal requirements.
  • Oversee Qualifying Life Event and mid-year changes process, ensuring compliance with plan documents and legal requirements.
  • Ensure system accuracy and employee enrollment of HSAs and FSAs. Work with employee and carrier to ensure accuracy. Work with Workday Support to ensure the correct system setup of plans.
  • Develop all new hire, life event, and termination benefit communications and forms; ensure Workday 
  • Support and Training has most up-to-date information for employee onboarding and offboarding. 
  • Monitor legislation and ensure the company's legal compliance with Federal and State Laws, recommending and implementing revised processes as necessary.
  • Maintain relationship with COBRA administrator and serve as the primary point of contact for the Benefits team. Manage COBRA reimbursement process for non-active employees, ensuring compliance with plan documents, company policy, and legal requirements.
  • Administer the arrears reconciliation process for but not limited to Variable Hour employees and employees on leave, ensuring compliance with plan documents, company policy, and legal requirements.
  • Manage the monthly benefit invoice reconciliation process, review and accurately allocate costs and ensure compliance with company policies; identify and resolve exceptions and errors as necessary.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding protected health information (PHI) and implementing privacy and security best practices across all relevant processes and systems.
  • Assist all employees with any Benefit questions and concerns. Serve as a liaison between the employee and carriers to ensure all issues are handled correctly and efficiently.
  • Perform needed annual audits to ensure the accuracy of employee benefit plans.
  • Complete Workday maintenance as required/ needed to ensure accuracy of the system and plans.
  • Oversee all AMA and FFG employee maintenance in ADP to accurately reflect employee enrollment and changes in benefit plans. Work with employees and carriers to ensure the accuracy of enrollments and to facilitate any corrections needed. Coordinate with Sr. Manager to ensure accuracy of insurance billing reconciliations.
  • Execute ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Serve as backup to other team members in the Benefits Department.
  • Travel: less than 5%.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in the company-provided hardware and software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products, Workday, and ADP is required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all matters.
